Nikita Therapy Video Call.jpeg

Hi, I’m Nikita, a qualified and accredited counsellor with a genuine passion for helping people find calm, clarity, and confidence again.

I first began my training in counselling back in 2016 and have been working with clients since 2019, now with over a thousand hours of experience supporting people through life’s challenges. My background is Person-Centred at its core, but I also draw on psychodynamic and CBT approaches, adapting to each individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, from individuals navigating anxiety, stress, or grief, to professionals and teams in high-pressure environments.

Whether in a counselling session, or mental health training, I bring the same grounded, compassionate approach: meeting people exactly where they are and helping them move towards where they want to be.

Common Questions

How can "just talking" help me?

It’s a question I hear a lot and it makes complete sense. If you’ve been struggling for a while, or this is a historical event you want to work through, it’s natural to wonder how sitting in a session together and talking could possibly make a difference.

But therapy isn’t just talking. It’s talking in a space just for you. One that’s confidential, non-judgemental, and focused entirely on understanding your experience. Carl Rogers, who founded the Person-Centred approach, believed that real change happens when someone feels deeply heard, accepted, and understood. That kind of genuine connection allows the parts of you that have been shut down, ignored, or over-criticised to finally have room to breathe.

From that place, things start to shift. Patterns become clearer, emotions start making more sense, and what once felt overwhelming can start to feel manageable.

And because my practice is integrative, we don’t stop there. Alongside that deeper exploration, I can also bring in practical tools from CBT and other approaches, things like coping strategies, reframing unhelpful thoughts, and building habits that support your day-to-day life.

So yes, there will be talking, but through that process, we’re actually understanding, reframing, and rebuilding. Finding your best self, finding your “YOU” and getting your "ME" back.

What can therapy address?

Therapy can help with almost anything that affects your emotional wellbeing. From anxiety, low mood, and self-esteem to grief, relationship challenges, stress, or feeling stuck.

It’s a space to understand yourself better, make sense of what’s happening/happened, and find healthier ways to cope and grow.

Look above this section for a full list of presenting issues I've worked with.

How long will therapy take?

I don't limit my sessions. There’s no set timeline because everyone’s needs are different.

The frequency of sessions is entirely up to you! Although weekly is recommended to offer enough time to process therapeutic work, I'm happy to support fortnightly or even monthly sessions if this is more suitable & afforadble for you.

Some people come for a handful of sessions to work through a specific challenge; others stay longer to explore deeper patterns or long-term growth.

We’ll review your progress as we go so therapy always moves at a pace that feels right for you.

Where can I attend sessions from?

The comfort of your own home or confidential space!

Sessions are held online via Zoom, Google Meet, or Telephone - as long as you are in a safe, comfortable, and confidential space, we can have our session together.

Face-to-face sessions are coming soon (West Midlands, UK)

Is therapy suitable for me?

If you’re struggling, curious about change, or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can help.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit; many clients come to build self-awareness or resilience.

If you’re still feeling unsure, please get in touch. I'd love to start with an introductory session to see if it feels like the right fit for you.

How much do sessions cost?

50-minute sessions are £50.00

Discounts are available if you are looking for long-term support and would be happy to bulk book sessions.
